this project will not teach you how to speak, but will try to help you understand

project goals seen so far:

1. introduce learners to languages (with A1/A2 level grammar/dialogs/culture-specific texts)
2. support them with some tools to go further on ther own (using text generation and parsing)
3. encourage them to create content and thus contribute to computational linguistics field

features supporting project goals:

1. access as anonymous user // have no content, so not much to do for now :(

   • browse texts published by admins/curators (grammar/dialogs/poetry/fiction)
   • play with flashcards (shared skips for all anonymous users)
   • translations and definitions (via external websites)

2. access as full user // can be tried today

   • add your own texts (or generate one with chatgpt)
   • learn words extracted from them as flashcards (usage examples are already taken from texts as sentences!)
   • track your vocabulary growth extracted from those texts in workbook app (words as collectibles)

3. user collaboration // target for future

   • validated texts from public domain (fiction, poetry) read by native speakers and uploaded to youtube or whatever
   • publicly available repo with conllu data for all of our public content to be used for training NLP models

how to get access

anonymous user

• you're all set, just go to apps

web/desktop onboarding

1. go to user obnoard/info gialog #1
2. generate new user ("+") buttonpage will be reloaded after closing the dialog #2

1. onboard desktop (or open user dialog again)
2. install and run ios or android version of the app (beta channels for now)
3. press camera button to scan code from desktop #3 #3.1
4. enter nickname and press "claim user" #4 #4.1
5. then press "generate pin" to be able to reconnect desktop (as password was reset by claiming the profile) #5 #5.1
6. and then back on web - enter your name and pin #6 and press "restore profile" #6.1
